What to know about farina
Farina is milled wheat, ground fine from the endosperm and sold as the smooth hot breakfast porridge best known under the Cream of Wheat name. Being wheat, it carries gluten at E and fructans at E, with overall FODMAPs at E and a SIBO grade of E to match, since finely milled refined starch is absorbed and fermented fast. It is graded E for the anti-inflammatory scale, which is what a refined fast-releasing grain earns. What is genuinely useful, and rarely said, is how clean the rest of its panel is: histamine A, histamine liberator A, salicylates A, oxalates A, sulfites A and glutamates A.
