Information We Collect

When you use Triggerbites, we may collect:

• Food diary entries, symptoms, and health data you choose to track
• Account information like email and display name (if you create an account)
• Device information for app functionality and push notifications

How We Use Your Data

• Provide food-symptom tracking and pattern analysis
• Sync your data across devices when you link an account
• Send daily reminders if you enable them
• Process subscriptions and provide premium features
• Improve our services through anonymous analytics

AI-Powered Features

Triggerbites uses third-party AI providers to extract foods, symptoms and other details from the diary text, photos and voice notes you choose to log, and to match what you log against our ingredient catalogue. Only the content needed for that step is sent, never your name, email or account details.

We use these providers under business terms that do not allow them to use your content to train their models or for advertising, and that limit any retention to what is needed to provide and secure the service. The providers may change as we improve the app; this policy applies to all of them.

Your consent is required before any content is sent, and you can turn AI features off at any time in Settings.

Connected Assistants

You can connect an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude or Muse to Triggerbites, and you approve each connection in the app. Once connected, the assistant can send us what you ask it to log, which we process like an entry you type in the app. When you ask it a question, it can read the part of your diary the question needs and what Triggerbites works out from it: your triggers and patterns, how a symptom has gone, and your calories and water if you count them. It cannot change or delete anything you logged.

We keep a short record of each connection: which assistant, when you connected it and when you last used it. You can see and remove it in Settings, Connected apps. Disconnecting deletes that record and ends the assistant's access at once. The entries it added stay in your diary until you delete them.

Each assistant's provider handles what you share with it under its own privacy policy.

Data Security

Your data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption. We use secure authentication and store sensitive information in your device's secure storage.

Your Rights

• Export:Download your data as CSV or PDF anytime
• Delete:Request complete deletion of your account and data
• Control:Toggle AI features on or off in Settings
• Anonymous use:Use the app without creating an account

Children's Privacy

Triggerbites is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
