Why aip diet checker matters
The Paleo Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) is an elimination diet designed to reduce inflammation and heal the gut in people with autoimmune conditions. It removes grains, legumes, dairy, eggs, nuts, seeds, and nightshades during the elimination phase.
- Elimination phase removes all potentially inflammatory foods
- Focus on nutrient-dense foods: organ meats, bone broth, vegetables
- Reintroduce foods one at a time after 30-90 days
- Sleep, stress management, and movement are part of the protocol
- Work with a practitioner experienced in autoimmune protocols

What to know about english breakfast tea
English breakfast tea is the plain black-tea baseline: no spices, no citrus oil, nothing added. It rates clean on gluten, FODMAPs, lactose, sulfites, nickel and glutamates, and only two things about it are worth tracking. Caffeine is moderate, roughly 40 to 50 mg in a mug, about half of what a coffee gives you. The second is the tannins, which bind non-heme iron in the same meal and are the reason a strong cup with breakfast can quietly work against an iron supplement.
Watch for
- Moderate caffeine, and steep time changes it more than brand does: a five minute brew pulls noticeably more than a two minute one, so an evening cup can still cost you sleep
- Tannins cut absorption of non-heme iron from the same meal by more than half in controlled studies, which matters if you are low in ferritin, vegetarian, or taking iron tablets
- Mildly rated on histamine, histamine liberation and tyramine, so it is a background contributor at best rather than a headline trigger, though people on strict histamine protocols often park black tea anyway
- The milk, not the tea, is what makes a builders brew a lactose problem: the leaf itself is lactose free
