How it works

Step 1

Log your day in 30 seconds

Just journal your day. No forms to fill in. Keeping a food diary shouldn’t feel like a job.

Hi, I’m Nibbles!

I slept badly. I had oatmeal and coffee for breakfast, then pizza and wine for lunch. The afternoon was stressful. By evening, my bloating was a 6 out of 10 and the brain fog was around a 4.

Step 2

Your day falls into place

Meals become ingredients and sensitivity profiles. Symptoms, sleep, stress, and the rest of your health context join the same journal.

All your context is important!

Does this feel familiar?

"I used to love food. Now I live in fear of my next meal."

"Tracking makes me anxious, but not tracking makes me feel powerless."

It's Thursday night.

You're supposed to meet friends for dinner. Your stomach has other plans. Again.

It's 2 a.m.

Page 6 of Google: "why do I feel bloated after everything?" You've been here before.

Same lunch as yesterday.

Yesterday: fine. Today: migraine by 2 p.m. What changed? No idea.

Another doctor.

"It's probably stress." "Maybe try yoga." You know your body. This is real.

If you've ever cancelled plans because you couldn't trust your body... been told "it's just stress"... or felt crazy because your labs say you're fine while your symptoms scream otherwise - you're exactly who we built this for.

This is for you if...

  • You live with IBS or gut issues and plan your life around the nearest bathroom.
  • You suspect histamine / MCAS-type reactions - flushing, hives, random migraines.
  • You have hormone-related flares that seem food-triggered.
  • Your tests are "normal" but you still feel unwell and no one can tell you why.
  • You're the spreadsheet / app tracker who's tired of doing all the work for no real insight.

We built this after years of that same frustration.

The problem was never your discipline. It was the tools.

Years of guessing, answered

The first diary I’ve stuck with

I always forget to log during the day, so I find it easiest to voice log once at night before bed. Way smoother experience than ██████████, which I used before.

So useful at appointments

Being able to send my functional medicine doctor a PDF of my diary before appointments is honestly so helpful. I always forget the details once I’m sitting there. Thanks!

It wasn’t only the food

I was so focused on food that I hadn’t really thought about sleep or stress. Seeing it all together helped a lot.

What makes us different

Most trackers make you do all the work. We let you bring your story and we distil it to help you reveal patterns.

Triggerbites

Triggerbites

The diary you'll actually use

You simply journal your day with voice, photo, or text. That's it!
Tracks compound sensitivities: histamine, glutamates, nightshades and 15+ categories.
Food, symptoms, meds, supplements, tags, sleep and more live in the same picture.
Import anything, and export a doctor-ready report when you need it.

Existing Trackers

The ones you quit after week 2

Tap through endless forms to log anything.
Basic food-level tracking only. Just gluten and dairy, not compounds.
Rigid categories: just symptoms and sliders, separate apps for everything else.
Can't import your own data, and exports your doctor can't read.

Based on analysis of CareClinic, mySymptoms, Bearable, Flaredown, and other apps.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Triggerbites for?

Triggerbites is for anyone trying to understand recurring symptoms or make more sense of a chronic condition. Food, routines, sleep, stress, medicines and supplements can all be part of the picture. It makes keeping a useful food and wellness diary feel manageable—not like another job—and helps you spot patterns across your days that can be hard to see on your own.

Do I have to log everything?

No. More consistent context can make patterns clearer, but partial logging is still useful. Talk through the parts of your day you remember and add more detail only when it matters to you.

What if I forget what I ate?

That is normal. Add what you remember, use a photo when you have one, or describe the meal in broad terms. Triggerbites is about useful patterns over time, not perfect records.

How long before patterns start to appear?

It depends on how often the symptom and possible factor occur. You may notice useful signals after a few weeks; a month or more of varied entries usually gives the comparison more context.

How does Triggerbites find patterns?

Triggerbites compares a symptom with the foods, ingredients, sensitivity families, sleep, stress, medicines, supplements and tags recorded around it. Repeating relationships rise to the top with the supporting days available to review.

Can I import an old food or symptom diary?

Yes. You can photograph handwritten journals, upload PDFs or import CSV files from other apps. Triggerbites structures the entries so your existing history can become part of your journal.

Can I track medicines and supplements?

Yes. Add what you take, including schedules and doses, then mark it taken or skipped. Medicines and supplements sit on the same timeline as meals, symptoms and the rest of your day.

Can I share my journal with a doctor?

Yes. You can create a doctor-ready PDF report covering a chosen period and share it when you decide to. The report helps turn weeks of entries into a clearer summary for an appointment.

Is my health data secure?

Your Triggerbites data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Your health information is not sold, and you can delete your account and associated data.

Does Triggerbites diagnose food sensitivities or chronic conditions?

No. Triggerbites is a journaling and pattern-finding tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe treatment or replace medical care.
